The Fantboi Lab is a laboratory-workshop designed to support filmmakers in the development of a fantasy genre short film project from its initial idea to the end.
The call will be open from 04/04/2024 to 06/01/2024
A winning project will be chosen from among the candidates and its author will receive personalized online tutoring that will consist of the following stages:
– Two counseling sessions for writing the script.
– Two consulting sessions for the development of the technical script and preparation for filming.
– Two consulting sessions for the production of the short film and its subsequent distribution.
The name of the winner will be made public during the celebration of the next edition of the Sant Boi de Llobregat fantasy film festival, Fantboi, which will take place from July 11 to 14, 2024 and the advisory sessions will take place from end of the festival, on the dates that the winner and the tutors decide by common agreement.
The filming and editing of the short film must be carried out by its author with his own resources and Fantboi is committed to releasing it in its 2025 edition.
Registration requirements:
– That the short film project is of a fantastic genre (fantasy, horror, science fiction…).
– Be of legal age.
– Each candidate can present a maximum of two synopses.
– Motivation and commitment to bring the project to completion.
– Previous experience is not necessary.
– Since the workshop sessions will be online, the candidate’s country of residence is immaterial.
– The winning project undertakes to state in the credits of the short film that it has been developed with the help of #Fantboilab
Material to present to qualify for the #Fantboilab
– Synopsis of the plot of the short film in standard 12 point font and a maximum length of one page. The synopsis must be written in Spanish or Catalan.
– Photo of the candidate’s DNI, passport or identity card. To verify your legal age.
